Shipping & Return Policy

SHIPPING POLICY

All orders are processed in Canadian dollars. We accept Visa / V Debit, Mastercard / MC Debit, PayPal and American Express. We do not accept money orders or wire transfers. All orders will be processed and shipped within 24 business hours. All Canadian orders are shipped via Canada Post or UPS. Internationally we ship using Canada Post, UPS and DHL. Delivery times and pricing are available at checkout. All items are shipped from our store in Toronto, Canada.

We are pleased to offer FREE SHIPPING on most of our products (via Canada Post or UPS) within Canada on all orders above $150 and $250 for the US (Canada Post / USPS Tracked Packet). Shipping costs for orders below $150 will be calculated at checkout and charged according to current carrier rates. 

***Our Larger items (BBQs / Large Cutting boards / Cast Iron / certain heavy coffee equipment) do not qualify for free shipping. Thank you for understanding.***

Please note that international parcels can and may be stopped at customs for further inspection. Commercial invoices are attached for this purpose. These delays are beyond our control. Please refer to your local customs information for further information.

P.O boxes are only shipped via Canada Post.

***Please note*** - carrier rates and estimated delivery times are subject to change and are 100% beyond our control. If your parcel requires rush shipping - we suggest choosing an Express courier service (UPS) or contacting us to find out the best possible service and rate. We are not responsible for any minor delays due to carrier ship times. We appreciate your understanding.

IN - STORE PICK UP

If you live in Toronto or plan to visit our store, please indicate at checkout that you would like to pick up your product in store. We will contact you directly with pick up times and options. All items will be ready within one business hour for in store pick up.

RETURNS / EXCHANGES

If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you have 30 days from date received to return and/or exchange your product. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in its original packaging containing its receipt.

Any item that shows signs of use will not be accepted for exchange or refund. 

KNIFE reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee for all returns deemed unreasonable. Please be aware that we sell handmade products that each have their own special characteristics. All products are inspected for quality assurance before leaving our shop.

All coffee beans are final sale. All coffee grinders which have seen use is considered final sale. 

All sale items are considered final sale unless otherwise advised. 

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. Any shipping or handling fees (exact shipping amount) will not be refunded even with free shipping orders. Please allow up to 5 business days for returns to be processed through your bank.

All items returned are done so at the buyer's expense. If you are shipping your return, please provide us with its tracking number and reason for return at sales@knifetoronto.com. If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item. You can also return your item in store. Please have your receipt ready for your return.

RETURNS WITHOUT RECEIPT

If you have misplaced or lost your receipt please call us at (647) 996 - 8609 or email us at sales@knifetoronto.com in advance and we will try our best to accommodate your request. Items that have no accompanying receipt will be subject to exchange / store credit only.

DAMAGED ITEMS

KNIFE prides itself in sourcing the best quality handmade products from Japan and Canada and carefully inspecting every package before it is shipped. However, if for any reason a product is received damaged please contact us immediately with your order number and receipt at sales@knifetoronto.com for further instructions on how to process your exchange.

GIFT CARDS

We offer in store and online gift cards here at KNIFE. Gift Cards are redeemable for merchandise only and are not redeemable for cash.  

CHANGING OR CANCELLING AN ORDER

Please notify us within 2 business hours after placing your order to cancel it. You may email us at info@knifetoronto.com or call us at  (647) 996 - 8609. We will do our best to accommodate and cancel your order. However if your request is made outside of the 2 hour window, the original order will be processed and shipped.

KNIFE reserves the right to not complete or fulfill any order(s) we deem fraudulent and that may pose a risk of criminal activity.  We appreciate your understanding.
