Our good friend Takayuki Shibata, owner of Masakage, Kotetsu, Tinker, and West Japan Tools, will be visiting with us on October 21st here at KNIFE.
Over the course of the last 10 years, Shiba has been an extremely integral part in the growth of KNIFE and the Japanese knife culture in Toronto. Not only have our respective businesses grown together, we've also seen, through our partnership, the advancement of the incredible talent showcased in some of Takefu's younger blacksmithing generation. We have seen young Takumi Ikeda mature into an amazingly talented smith, and the now incredibly sought after Yu Kurosaki move into his own Hamono. We are very blessed to have met Shiba.
Here are some of the gorgeous pieces that we wouldn't have without Shiba.
We're hoping to have some of the very sought after Tank's and Shark Tooth Deba's here for you all to see. Fingers crossed.
We already know this awesome guy so we'd love for you all to meet him as well. So save the date and come by and have your most pressing knife questions answered by one of Japan's finest knife makers.
