On Shipping, and the Shape of Things for Now
For years, we’ve packed boxes that travelled far beyond our neighbourhood—across borders, into kitchens we’ll never see, into daily routines we can only imagine. That reach has meant a lot to us.
For now, we’re pressing pause.
We will no longer be shipping internationally, including to the United States. This wasn’t a quick decision. It comes from a growing friction in the process—rising costs, unpredictable transit times, and a level of inconsistency that no longer aligns with how we want our work to arrive in your hands. What leaves our shop should feel considered all the way through. Lately, that hasn’t always been the case.
Rather than compromise on that experience, we’re choosing to narrow our focus.
Our attention returns to the immediate: the people who walk through the door, the conversations across the counter, the small, tangible exchanges that built this place in the first place. There’s clarity in that. A chance to re-calibrate and do things properly, without stretching beyond what we can stand behind.
This isn’t necessarily permanent. We’ll continue to monitor the situation—logistics, costs, and the broader landscape—and reassess when it makes sense. If and when we can ship internationally again in a way that feels right, we will.
To everyone who has supported us from afar: thank you. Truly. Your presence has shaped this shop in ways that extend well beyond geography.
For now, we’ll be here—closer to home, a little more grounded, and paying attention.
A Note for Our Canadian Customers
While we pause international shipping, everything at home remains the same.
Our Canadian shipping policy is unchanged—reliable timelines, careful packing, and the same attention to detail from our bench to your door. Orders continue to move out promptly, and we’re maintaining the standard you’ve come to expect from us.
In many ways, this shift allows us to do that work even better. Fewer variables, more control, and a tighter focus on the experience within Canada.
Thank you for continuing to support us close to home.
Have a KNIFE day.
