The Timemore Black Mirrors have been our go - to scale for years. 

Building on Timemore's Basic line of scales, the Black Mirror Basic 2 retains accuracy and responsiveness, a physical power switch, textured buttons, and weight-detecting auto-timer, and adds the ability to switch between grams and ounces and flow rate monitoring, giving you more feedback and control over brewing.

The Black Mirror Basic 3 is Timemore’s latest take on the everyday coffee scale, refined around the things that matter most: speed, accuracy, and a clean, uncomplicated workflow.

Now slimmer and lighter, the Basic 3 measures to 0.1g and handles up to 2kg, with dedicated Regular, Pour-Over, and Espresso modes. The built-in ratio calculator helps keep recipes consistent, while real-time flow-rate tracking gives you another useful reference when dialing in a pour-over.

A new electromagnetic shield helps keep readings stable around magnetic tools and other nearby electronics. The 1600mAh battery provides up to 24 hours of use, with USB-C charging, and the IPX3 water-resistant design adds some welcome protection against the inevitable coffee spills.

At just 18mm thick and 276g, it is compact enough for an espresso setup and easy to bring along for a brew elsewhere.

A straightforward, thoughtfully refined scale for anyone who cares about repeatable coffee.
