Makizuka Iron Works | Teppei Fry Pan by Takibism

$150

Description

A name long whispered among Japanese chefs and outdoor purists has finally crossed the ocean. We’re proud to introduce iron cookware from Makizuka Ironworks — arriving for the first time outside of Japan, exclusively at KNIFE Toronto.

For over a century, Makizuka has crafted heavy-duty iron with obsessive precision in Takamatsu,  Kagawa Japan — a major steel makers hub in Japan. Their pans and plates are built to take heat, hold it, and turn it into pure, even sear. These are tools designed not just for cooking, but for cooking well.

Alongside Makizuka’s legendary teppan plates comes a line of beautifully engineered outdoor gear from Takibism — an elevated approach to open-fire cooking. Minimal, indestructible, and made to last a lifetime, each piece feels equal parts refined and raw.

Whether it’s a steak on the teppan or slow grilling over coals, these aren’t just pans — they’re iron meant to be used, seasoned, and passed down.

Available exclusively at KNIFE in Toronto the first time ever outside of Japan.

"We give shape to the thoughts that light up the hearts of people who live their lives every day".

This Teppei Fry Pan by Makizuka Takibism is just so lovely. A very light pan, perfect for packing. Very versatile and perfect for camping. The thinness allows for quick heat up time, but the Iron helps retain temperature. Feels like a small comal perfect for the fire.
