Escape Coffee

When you focus on one thing, many things happen. And at Escape, that one thing was always coffee. That's why we cross continents, explore different roasting techniques, flavours, infusions, and sustainable practices. We work with local artists, hand-package our selections and deliver to distributors.

We have decided to choose our coffees carefully, taking into consideration the quality, taste, social impact, transport, origin and treatment of employees. We deliver our products with the most ecological means of transport possible and pack our products only with compostable or reusable packaging.

We build Escape by putting the planet, people and quality before profit. At Escape, this is our main philosophy. With all the information we have regarding the social and environmental impacts of our actions, we firmly believe that companies and brands must take responsibility.

'Coffee is a moment to escape. A chance to free yourself from the routine of everyday life to achieve something greater, that inspires, motivates and illuminates.'

Castillo

This washed Castillo from Andres Martinez might be the most unique coffee we’ve ever cupped. The town of Buesaco in Nariño, Colombia, is a hub for coffee innovation, where high altitudes and dense rainforest create prime growing conditions. Martinez approaches coffee on a level deeper than most of us could imagine. With a background in biochemical engineering, he brings a precise, almost technical language to cultivation and processing. One that reflects a deep commitment to quality.

Martinez’s work with Technicafé led him to integrate complex scientific methods with the natural rhythms of farm life, giving producers new tools to refine their craft. When he transitioned into production himself, his ethos was rooted in that experience: “I wasn’t just selling a product. I was offering process, story, and applied science.”

This Castillo stands as a testament to his years-long pursuit of pushing both the artistic and scientific boundaries of coffee. The cup is rare and striking: layered with raspberry, vanilla pastry cream sweetness, and a lively interplay of bright, glossy notes. It’s a coffee that stands apart from anything we’ve offered before.
