This line is made with Shirokami #2 carbon steel for excellent edge retention and ease of sharpening.
Please keep this knife clean and dry to prevent rusting. A natural patina will occur and is beneficial to the knife.
Please note - this knife has a "Machi" - Machi's measure blade length from the gap between the spine and handle. The traditional "actual" blade length would be closer to 170mm.
Keyaki is a Japanese hardwood also known as Japanese Zelkova wood. Used for its hardness, durability and lustrous grain patterns.
