Portebleue

Portebleue is a small-batch roaster based in Montreal.

Tanner Gooding, owner and head roaster at Portebleue, is Winnipeg born and raised. When he moved to Montréal in 2015, he fell in love with the city’s vibrant and ever-evolving café culture.

Portebleue aims to source sustainable coffee of the highest quality and highlight the incredible work done by coffee producers around the world.

At Finca Bella Alejandría in Huila, Wilder Lazo leverages his background as a cattle geneticist to bring scientific precision and controlled variables to specialty coffee cultivation. Grown at 1,890-2,100 masl, the slow-ripening cherries develop exceptional density and complex flavor concentration. This Bourbon Sidra varietal is exceptionally clean yet layered with depth and balances meticulous processing with the distinct profile of the variety - itself a remarkable hybrid of Red Bourbon and Ethiopia heirloom.
