ONIBUS comes from the Portuguese word for 'public bus,' a bus for everyone. From stop to stop, the onibus connects people each day. We have named our shop ONIBUS because we serve coffee with the same spirit. Every day with each cup we bring people together. 

The first release of the 2025 vintage is a precious single farmer lot from the family of Michel Dusengimana, who is also the washing station manager at Nkara.

Enjoy the sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar and the pleasant fruitiness of apricot.

The first release from Rwanda's 2025 harvest is Nkara/Michel Dusengimana. This lot is from Michel and his family, a single-farmer operation.

Most Rwandan coffee is processed at a communal washing station using cherries brought in by hundreds of small-scale farmers. The cherries are mixed and then divided into lots by washing station or region, making it very rare to obtain a micro-lot from a single farmer in Rwanda.

This was made possible because Michel is an excellent farmer. He has been a member of the Dukundekawa Agricultural Cooperative since its founding in 2000 and has served as the manager of the Nkara washing station owned by the cooperative for many years. He possesses knowledge and experience in both coffee cultivation and processing, and continues to produce excellent coffee.

ONIBUS has been purchasing Nkara coffee for many years. Michel is the one who always greets us with a smile at Nkara during our annual visits to Rwanda.

Michel continues to make coffee as a leader of many people in a small town.
