Cape Coffee | Sakicha, Bule Hora - Ethiopia

$22

Description

Cape Coffee from Cape Broyle, Newfoundland.

At Cape Coffee our thoughts and actions are aligned with the quality of the beans we roast. As roasters we value the integrity of the coffee bean as a living entity, that it is cyclical and nurtured by distinct communities of committed growers. We strive to ensure that all coffee beans are given the opportunity to express the essence of their terroir.

The two C's in the name Cape Coffee give a feeling of connectedness. From cape to cape, coast to coast, continent to continent, community and coffee gives us important lines of connection.

As roasters, we aspire to do justice to both the quality of the green coffee and the hard work of the producers we work with. We roast carefully and delicately to highlight the complexity and nuanced flavour profile of where that specific coffee was grown and cared for at origin. We like to keep things light to bring out the most clarity, allowing the coffee to express itself in an articulate way.

Welcome to KNIFE.

This coffee is bright and floral with a lively acidity. We notice notes of orange blossom, stonefruit, and honeydew.

In the southern Oromia region, bordering the West Guji Zone is the Sakicha washing station. Coffee in Ethiopia is typically harvested in small quantities, with farmers picking ripe cherries in their own backyards and delivering them to washing stations.
