These fines are a double-edged sword: they enhance extraction, but at the same time, they can become the primary obstacle to a perfect cup by clogging the filter and introducing unwanted flavours.

Conventional paper filters are composed of a random matrix of wood pulp fibers, resulting in a highly inconsistent pore size distribution. In contrast, HIFLUX’s Lyocell filter utilizes a unique 3D weave structure that significantly increases its capacity for fines.

Our team also found that micro-particles under 20 micrometers can positively contribute to body and mouthfeel. Based on this, we engineered the filters with a highly precise and uniform pore size to enhance texture and depth in the cup. Moreover, the Lyocell fabric improves the transmission of lipid-based compounds, further enhancing flavour clarity and aromatic delivery.”

High durability - Lyocell exhibits excellent wet tensile strength

Pure materials - Sourced exclusively from 100% pure wood pulp

Zero chemicals - No glues, sizing agents, or bleach in manufacturing process

Certified safe

Environmental friendly - Fully biodegradable and commercially compostable for a better coffee and a better planet

Choose your flow:
Choose HIGH FAST for maximum draw-down velocity—enhancing complexity, clarity, and mouthfeel—or PURITY for a balanced, medium flow rate designed for consistent perfection and the cleanest flavour.

Please note, the Folding V filters are only available in HIGH FAST.

Compatible with Hario V60, Origami, KONO, Kinto, etc..

Paper from Europe.
