This line utilizes the newer SRS-13 stainless steel. This steel type is a high speed powdered stainless steel and makes for an extremely sharp knife with fantastic edge retention. While similar to Tsunehisa's classic SRS-15 line, SRS-13 steel is a newer innovation developed by Japanese robotics company Nachi-Fujikoshi.
